We are watching the UT volleyball ace play in the Olympics. Phelps did a fast fade in the 400m and fortunately Lochte brought home the gold. We should have had gold and silver but egomaniac Phelps placed 4th. :(. Olympics tonight and shrimp for dinner!!!!!

Larry has been up since 2:30AM, watering, and I got up at 7:30. Claire is here and we are off to yoga at 10AM. I switched a laundry load, folded a load and have a dark load ready to go when I get home from yoga.

Desdemona Pussycat was born February 27, 2012, we assume on a boat that had been covered and stored for the winter. She and her littermates were found there by the boat owners and were taken to Austin Pets Alive, apparently without the mother, and were bottle fed until they were weaned. It was rainy, almost stormy, all day and what a relief it was to have my new windshield wiper blades, which Randy at Covert Buick ordered for me and which Kevin in Service there installed for me--no waiting and no charge! Larry and I are now watching Pens-Sabres game on the Internet since NBC blocked it in our area. Larry and I saw together on the den sofa and watched the game broadcast on his large Dell laptop that we got him for Christmas! Where there's a will, there's a way! Unfortunately, the Pens lost, 6-2. Definitely NOT our day to shine!

We had a tremendous thunderstorm with drenching rain throughout Friday night--what a blessing!! Saturday it was drizzling as I showered and dressed for the party Mindy and Jim were hosting to celebrate Jim's daughter, Tera, becoming a medical doctor!! Matt arrived from downtown, Claire arrived from running errands across town, Larry arrived with lunch and we all settled down in the den to watch the PENS play the dangerous Bruins in Boston. We beat them, 2-1!!! Claire left after the game and Matt is sound asleep on the sofa. It is bleak and overcast outside.
